About Us

Oat Loft was based on a common problem: we wanted a house that would feel calm and well put together, but any items that looked suitable were either priced for a different sort of customer or proved to be rather flimsy when they actually arrived. There was the lamp that wobbled, the cushion cover that shed fibres after just two washes, and the candle that had no smell by the second evening. It appeared that you could have items that looked attractive or items that lasted, but not both, and never at a price that was reasonable. That's why we set up Oat Loft to address this gap, offering lighting, bedding, candles, wall art and small furniture pieces that are enjoyable to use, made from materials that are durable, and sold at honest prices.

Deliberately, we limit the range. Only after examining the materials, the finish and how the item will really be used in a room do we decide whether to include it on the site, and if it doesn't meet our standards it won't be listed. On each product page the actual dimensions, the materials it's made from and the contents of the box are given in simple terms so that you can visualise how it would look in your own room before making a purchase. We prefer that you place one order and be satisfied rather than having to return something because it didn't match your expectations.

Delivery is free and comes with tracking to any address in New Zealand, no matter how large or small the order. Should an item not be suitable for the room, you have 30 days in which to return it, and if it arrives faulty or damaged we will either replace it or give you a refund without any hassle.
