Acrylic Lantern Table Lamp, Gold
An open frame of flat brushed gold bars standing around a clear acrylic cylinder, on a round stepped base. The light comes from a disc at the foot of the cylinder and travels up through it, so the whole column lifts and the frame throws long thin shadows out across whatever it is sitting on. It behaves more like a candle than a lamp.
Touch the base to switch it on and to step through three settings: a warm amber, a brighter daylight tone and a clean white. The warm setting suits an evening. It charges over USB and runs cordless, and a charge lasts anywhere from about 12 hours at the brightest setting up to around 50 hours on the lowest.
Size: 18 cm tall with a 9 by 9 cm footprint. That is small, about the height of a wine glass, and it takes up less room on a table than a coffee mug. It sits firmly on its base.
Materials: a metal frame and base with a clear acrylic cylinder.
Care: wipe the metal with a soft dry cloth. For the cylinder use a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away. Acrylic marks more easily than glass, so keep away from abrasive cloths and from cleaners containing solvent or alcohol. Charge it with the USB cable supplied.

Oat Loft started with a simple frustration. Lighting and decor that looked right in a room was often priced well out of reach, and there was not much in between. So we set out to find pieces with good shapes and clear descriptions, at prices that make sense. Every order ships tracked and free anywhere in New Zealand.
We keep the range small and choose each piece for its shape, its finish and how it will sit in a room. Every product page sets out the dimensions, materials and power details in plain language, so you can picture a piece in your space before you buy.
18 cm tall with a 9 by 9 cm footprint. It is about the height of a wine glass and takes up less space on a table than a coffee mug. Most of the weight sits in the base, so it stays put rather than feeling flimsy.
Between about 12 hours and 50 hours, depending on which setting you use. The brightest white setting is at the short end of that range and the low warm setting is at the long end. It charges over the USB cable supplied and runs with no cord at all in use.
A warm amber, a brighter daylight tone and a clean white. You step through them by touching the base. The warm setting suits the evening, with the whiter settings there for when you actually need to see something.
