A teardrop of rice paper stretched over fine bamboo ribbing, standing on three slim black wire legs. Switched off it is a pale, quiet shape in the corner of a room. Switched on the whole surface lifts to a soft even warm white, with the ribbing showing faintly through the paper and no bright spot anywhere.
Paper does something a glass or metal shade cannot: it spreads the light in every direction at once and takes the hard edge off it. The glow reaches the ceiling and the wall behind as much as the table it stands on, which is why a single one of these can be enough light for a whole corner in the evening.
Size: about 28 cm across and 47 cm tall including the tripod. That is tall for a table lamp, so give it some headroom: a side table, a sideboard or a low shelf suits it better than a crowded bedside table.
Power: mains, with a 2 m cord and an in-line switch on the cable. A warm 2200K LED bulb is included, so there is nothing else to buy. It ships with an Australia and New Zealand plug and is tested to AS/NZS 60598 with RCM marking.
Care: dust lightly with a dry soft brush or the brush head of a vacuum on its lowest setting. Paper does not like water, so do not wipe it with a damp cloth. Handle it by the wire frame rather than the paper when you move it.

Send us photos by email within 30 days of delivery and we will replace the item or refund you in full, whichever you prefer. In most cases you will not need to post anything back.
Yes, within 24 hours of placing it. Email our customer service team with your order number and we will sort it. After 24 hours the order has usually gone through to our supplier, but you can still return it under our Refund Policy once it arrives.
